Join other GM vehicle owners in class action lawsuit after recall

GM has announced several recalls in recent weeks, the most significant of which affects more than a million vehicles and the ignition switch on those vehicles. GM has acknowledged that the faulty ignition switch has been linked to many crashes and 12 fatalities. The most alarming aspect of the recall is that GM has apparently known about the issue with the ignition switch for ten years and is only now recalling and repairing the affected vehicles (see below).

Consumers who own the affected vehicles – not just those who have been in an accident as a result of an ignition switch malfunction – can sue GM in connection with the recall, for loss of value of their vehicle and other damages.

We are preparing to bring a consumer class action case against GM related to their ignition recall. We are looking for plaintiffs, in any state, who own any one of the following vehicle models:

2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

2006-2007 Chevrolet HHR

2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuit

2006-2007 Pontiac Solstice

2007 Pontiac G5

2003-2007 Saturn Ion

2007 Saturn Sky

A class action allows a group of individuals in similar circumstances and with similar damages to sue together in one lawsuit. These cases often end in settlement, with each member of the “class” sharing in the final amount paid by the defendant. A class action gets the attention of the defendant, which is usually a large corporation, because the individual claims add up to a large demand.

If you own one of the models listed above, or if you have questions about what a class action involves or what would be required to get involved, give us a call. We’ll talk to you for free, and it’s completely confidential. You can contact us online or by calling us at 312-346-5320 or 800-517-1614.
