Criminal Cases at the Bridgeview Courthouse

The Bridgeview criminal courthouse is located at 10220 South 76th Avenue in Bridgeview and is also called the District 5 court. Unlike the City of Chicago criminal courts, the Bridgeview court hears both civil and criminal matters. Criminal charges as minor as disorderly conduct or DUI’s and crimes as serious as theft or murder can be heard at the Bridgeview court. Civil matters, such as negligence claims after a car accident or a slip and fall case, are also heard at the Bridgeview court.

Much like other courts, we believe that if you are going to appear at the Bridgeview court on a criminal charge, you should have an experienced criminal defense lawyer and one who is familiar with the prosecutors and judges at that court. The reason for this is that it can only benefit you to have someone on your side who already has an established rapport with the prosecutors and judges at the Bridgeview court.

Almost all of the attorneys that we recommend you consider hiring for Cook County criminal defense cases handle mostly traffic and criminal charges and most of these attorneys are former prosecutors or attorneys that have been in the field for many years. So, they have developed relationships with the prosecutors and judges. While this doesn’t necessarily guarantee a result, it can make a difference.

If you have general criminal defense questions or would like a referral to an attorney that focuses on criminal defense and has a track record of success at the Bridgeview criminal courts, please call us at (312) 346-5320 or (800) 517-1614 or fill out our contact us form and we will contact you.
